We are like children. No...PJ, your post is so true. We are like children. Not only in our faith but in the way people live their lives. They remind me of children with no supervision and get themselves into a mess. Then they want their parents or someone to get them out of it. That is when they might pray to God and ask for help. Billy Graham told in his book that one soldier told him the very first time he prayed to God, was in a fox hole in World War II. He prayed a lot for the rest of his life though! I guess he found his faith that night. God bless, you dear, sweet teacher.katlupehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09159828606045286858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-116001294374141207.post-14069504053601029612012-02-23T15:05:15.439-06:002012-02-23T15:05:15.439-06:00I think that for one who was converted as an adult...I think that for one who was converted as an adult like I was, it can be difficult to trust God in the same way as a child trusts his parents.
But I am learning, although at times slowly. Today, for example, when a client declined my services, my natural reaction was to panic, with the idea that "if this carries on, I'll be out of business". But today I remembered the Father's love and I trusted him. Not long after another customer, not on the schedule, replaced him.
I was able to revel in God's goodness, thanking him.Frank E. It is one of the ways we grow best and learn to have that close connection with God. Thank you for the reminder! This one is a wonderful post...Good Morning, Patti!!
This one is a wonderful post, and I completely agree with it.
We ought to have the heart of a little child, with a humble and meek approach, in order to inherit Heaven. Our dear Lord loved children. It's written in the Bible, Jesus said that we should have the heart of little children.
Many adults feel that they know everything. I call it, plain arrogance on their part.
We should have a humble heart with a meek approach in our daily encounters with others.
I have just left another comment in your award post. Thank you so much for the award!! I'll post more comments for you, if you are interested in my comments, sweetheart. I make plans to travel to New York for my family reunion by the Spring of 2012. I'll take a long writing break at that time. But until then, I am available. God keeps blessing you with so much wisdom from your heart of hearts, Patti!!
Send you all my loving on your way, of course, love in Christ.
Big Hugs,
Poet Starry Dawn.Starry Dawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15800474511554103707noreply@blogger.com
