It is NEVER translated sin or transgression or any other term that means sin.

The basic idea is a comparison of God's greatness to that of the elect angels. Although the angels are very wise, compared to God's wisdom they are fools. It just takes time to go through all the references to see all that is said about them.

Also, over the years I have begun to see that the word "angel" means "messenger" and many times the term angel is used to describe the HUMAN messengers that God sends to His people. It is not necessary for the term angel to always describe the spirit beings we commonly think of.

Hope you and your family had a good holiday season. I'm just getting back from my hiatus from the computer and trying to get caught up. I really needed the break.

Lord bless you my friend and keep on keeping on in His service. Another very interesting post about angels....Hi PJ.
Another very interesting post about angels.
But the verse which struck me was Job 4:18 which tells of God "charges his angels with error."
This has got me thinking: If angels in heaven are prone to error, how are they still there in heaven? According to Paul's letter to the Galatians, if we who keep the Law yet stumble at just one point, we then become guilty of breaking the whole Law, which would result in a lost eternity.
The angels who Job were referring to here, it seems to me, are those who chose to follow Lucifer's rebellion - a third of the whole population, a huge percentage indeed, although they still have access to heaven. So it looks to me that like with us, God created angels with a freedom of choice and not as robots.
Also, the idea of a guy like me to be judging angels in the afterlife seems astounding! Would beings such as Michael and Gabriel really submit to one as me?
An excellent post.Frank E. Blasihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12218732913319387677noreply@blogger.com
