"A Whodunit"

Geraldine McEwan as Miss MarpleImage via Wikipedia

Good Evening to All!

Tonight, I have an inspirational story which is somewhat a mystery, a "whodunit if you will, so sit back, and enjoy.

To your right is a picture of the lady who played the sleuth Miss Marple, a popular "whodunit" investigator.

Two men, an army major general and his young first lieutenant, were traveling from one military base to another in Europe when they were forced to travel with civilians aboard a passenger train. they found their compartment, where two people were already seated: a very attractive young lady and obviously her mother. For most of the trip they conversed freely. It was turning out to be a most enjoyable trip for all four of them.

Then the train entered a long dark tunnel; besides no lights being on in the tunnel, there were non in the compartment either. Once inside the tunnel, the four passengers heard two distinct sounds: the first was the loud smooch of a kiss, the second was the sharp sound of a hard slap! Here is each person's interpretation of what was just heard.

The young lady is pleased to think that the handsome young lieutenant got up the courage to try to kiss her, but she is somewhat disappointed in that he had mistakenly kissed her mother, who apparently had slapped him for his trouble.

The major general is amused with his lieutenant because of his romantic enterprise, but chagrined at the young woman because of the hard slapping of him instead of his lieutenant.

The mother is also taken aback to think that the young officer would have the gall to kiss her daughter, but she is also proud of her daughter for slapping him in return.

But of all the passengers in this car, only one really knows what happened in the darkened tunnel...and he is not about to tell! The young lieutenant is having a very rough time holding back the laughter as he observes the expressions on the other three faces and the red slap mark on the general's face. This handsome, young, enterprising lieutenant found the perfect opportunity to slap his superior officer, hard...after kissing the back of his own hand!

Creativity

Where there's a will, there is also a way! Why not consider applying that concept to whatever life situation you might find yourself facing?

There is a way! There is an answer! There is a resolution! And... there is a creative God for you to call upon in your need!

Inspirational Verse

If any of you lacks wisdom, let her/him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to her.
