"God and Country"

Good Evening to All!
I hope this finds all of you in Good spirits while celebrating our Independence Day. As for me, hubby went to bed early as he wasn't feeling well, and I stood outside and watched the fireworks looming way overhead about 2.5 miles down the road from our house. Might I say they were beautiful. Hubby and I mutually decided that we didn't want to "go" see the fireworks as it takes longer to get back home than the whole show lasts, and for the last few years it's been the same fireworks, pretty but the same, so we decided against going. After he went to bed, I stepped out on our front lawn and watched. Lo and behold, they did change some of the fireworks up. They were mostly the same, but they had a few new ones, so I enjoyed them especially the finale. Tonight is also our 24 wedding anniversary, but we celebrated last night by going to Brownwood out to eat ( we went to Chili's ) and then to a show ( Karate Kid) with Jayden Smith. He sure is a cute little boy. Anyway, that's the kind of movie I like and my poor hubby tolerated it and indulged me. I'm gonna see about getting him a new skill saw next week for "his" present. Anyway, if any of you are thinking about going to see this movie, it is cute, but it's almost identical to the first Karate Kid. They changed it up a little bit, but not enough to really notice. You could almost say it's a re-make. I still enjoyed it though.
