Keep Your Receiver Deceiver-Free
Good Evening To All!
I know I'm getting a late start, but I've been having Internet troubles all afternoon.
The Lord God hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned. (5) The Lord God hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back.
(Isaiah 50:4-5)
The Amplified version says it like this: The Lord God has given Me the tongue of a disciple...He wakens Me morning by morning. He wakens My ear to hear as a disciple [as one who is taught]. The Lord God has opened my ear, and I have not been rebellious or turned backward.

The first step in hearing from God is to believe we can hear from Him. Many people want to hear from God, but they don't really expect to hear from Him. They say, "I just can't hear from God; He never talks to me."
These people have too much static in their "receivers" to hear Him clearly. Their ears are jammed with too many messages coming from ungodly sources. Consequently, they have a hard time discerning what God is really saying to them.
It doesn't do any good for God to speak to us if we do not believe we are hearing from Him. The deceiver, the devil, doesn't want us to think we can hear from God. He doesn't want us to believe, so he sends little demons to stand around and lie to us day and night, telling us we can't hear from God. But we can answer, "It is written, God has given me the capacity to hear and obey Him" (see Psalm 40:6). god's Word declares that all believers have the capacity to hear and obey god and to be led by the Holy spirit.
Jesus heard clearly from the Father all the time. Many people who were standing around Jesus when God spoke to Him heard only what they thought was thunder (see John 12:29). If you are having trouble hearing from God, I encourage you to take a few moments every day and confess your faith in hearing from Him. As you confess what you believe in your heart, your mind will be renewed and you will begin to expect to hear from God.

God's Word for You Today: Instead of feeling pressured to hear from God, just trust Him to speak to you.

It took me a good while before I understood this. I finally realized that as long as I thought negatively about things, nothing was going to happen. It's just like if you want to lose weight, but keep telling yourself it isn't going to happen rather than saying it is and picturing yourself thin, then it won't happen, because you will keep sabotaging yourself and not letting it happen. If you want to hear from God, but don't give yourself a chance for example never pray, keep your mind occupied with "stuff" such as tv, music, reading books other than pertain to Christian values, and so on, you won't hear from Him. If you will show God you truly want to hear from Him by praying and then quietly waiting to hear or "feel" something in your spirit, you will hear from Him. If you will read His Word rather than magazines, or Romance novels, ( not saying there is anything wrong with these novels, but there are such things as Christian romance novels that are "clean". If you will think about Him and talk to Him as you would a friend, then you will hear from Him. I know, because I do it all the time. Show Him you care and how important He is in your life. He is no different in that respect. We all like to be noticed, we all like to think that we are loved and enjoy a good conversation with the ones we love. God is the same. He desires an intimate relationship with each of us, and that requires a two way relationship. This being said, you have to listen for Him. He is not going to scream in your ear. According to 1 Kings 19:11-12, His word says And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:
12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
When we hear this precious sound in our spirit, we must not dismiss it. We must act on it. The more we do, the more He will talk to us.
Good night to all and May God Bless!

I am so happy to find a blog like this. This is something that I have been looking for. I am a strong Christain wife and mother and have been married to my best friend for 21 yrs and have 2 beautiful sons the oldest 18, going to college and a 15 going into 10th in Sept.
My husband Ken is having another surgergy Sept 13th, having more of his colon removed,I am asking for prayers for my husband Ken. He had this 10 yrs ago and was in the ICU and almost died so I am very scared but I know the Lord will be there for him. He will be in the hospital for a week if everything goes as planned and then I go in and have a hytromoty(i did not spell that right) my female parts, and they found a lump in my right breast and they are going to do another ultrsound on that. We have a strong faith in the Lord but I ask if you could please keep us in your prayers I would surely appericate it. I joined your blog, I hope you can stop by my blog and check it out!
God Bless
Blessings,
Tricia
I needed this today! One of my FaceBook friends commented on my wall saying that The Bible is tainted and untrue. I kept saying, nicely, what I thought but she is hard hearted on this and insists. I thought about just deleting her then thought I should try to reach her.......but to no avail. Kind of depressing, when I am relying on my Bible and God to get me through each day in tough times. Bless you for being here! I knew where to go, to your blog! Thanks PJ.
