Bible Challenge - "PERSECUTION AND MARTYRDOM"

>Good Evening to All!

Here we are again! It's time for the weekly Bible Challenge already! This week it covers "Persecution and Martyrdom". About this picture to my right; when I was looking for pictures to go along with this Challenge, my eyes were automatically drawn to this crown of thorns. Who in their right mind could not look at this and immediately think of Christ's Persecution and Crucifixion? When I first started looking for pictures, I thought of the usual, the "lion's den", being stoned, beheaded, that sort of thing, but when I saw the picture of this crown, I immediately shifted my thoughts.
