"PROMISE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT"

Good Evening to All!

If Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. And if the spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in you.

Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation--but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. For if you live according the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. Romans 8:10-14 NIV

The Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.

For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of His Son, that He might he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those he predestined, He also called; those he called, He also justified; those He justified, he also glorified. Romans 8:26-30 NIV

I absolutely love these scriptures. Yes, the first one definitely tells me that I have an obligation to God. To love Him, to Live for Him. This proves to me without a shadow of a doubt that we were bought with a price. Jesus died for us, therefore we are His. This also means that we are to OBEY His commands, and live the way He tells us to if we want to be saved. So, there is more to Salvation than "saying, I believe that Jesus is my Savior, and going our merry way. We are to follow God's Word in our way of life if we hope to have an eternal home with Him. He has sent us the Holy Ghost to dwell within us to help us do just that. If we will allow it to, and if we will abide by what it is saying through Him speaking to our heart, nudging us to do certain things, or NOT to do certain things, if we will read AND STUDY His Word, we will definitely end up with Him in heaven. If not, well, I'm not going to say it because I KNOW someone will think I'm being judgmental even though I'm just saying what they already know deep down.

I have always heard that God is not logical, but if you think about it, everything about acquiring Salvation and KEEPING it is logical. Why would someone Spirit or human, die for no reason? Why would they die and not expect something in return. Now He is not asking us to die, He's not asking us to pay Him, He just wants us to love Him and prove our love by doing what He asked. Much like our spouses do or parents do.

He also LOVES each and everyone of us, but that doesn't mean that we will all be going to heaven. If we can't do a simple thing like abide by His commands, why should He allow us to live with Him? It kind of reminds me of our earthly homes. When children are living at home (even as adults) they should show enough respect for their parents and abide by their rules, such as if your parents ask you not to drink in their home, don't do it and don't come home in the wee hours drunk. If they ask you to get a job, then do so. In other words, "if you're going to live under MY roof, you will obey my rules. If not, then find another place to live. I told my step son that when he came to stay with us, and also my husband cousin. No alcohol, (because we don't drink and I don't like being around drunks) no drugs (for obvious reasons, and no loud racket. We're quiet people and like the quiet, as well as our neighbors being elderly. For some reason, neither stayed very long, but you get my point. When I went out to our little trailer where they each stayed at different times, there were beer cans everywhere, not to mention them pulling up into our drive at one or two in the morning. Needless to say, I confronted each one and restated my conditions for them staying here, so they left.

No sin can enter heaven, therefore, if we do not repent and live for God we cannot enter either.

Good Night to All and May God Bless!

The Holy Spirit is the name of the third person in the Trinity, sometimes called the Holy Ghost. He is a person equal in every way with God the Father and God the Son. Thanks a lot for your nice information...
