Blessings and Answers Rain Down!

Hi Everyone!

I don't know how many if any of y'all notice my "Prayer Line on the side of my blog, but I have several names listed there with causes. Just in case you have noticed and have been praying for them, I would like to give you a progress report on Danny King. His uncle called my husband tonight and told him to tell me that Danny has awakened from the coma, and is now OFF life-support and is getting better. Thank you so much for your prayers! They definitely are being heard, so please don't stop. Even though he's getting better, he's got a long way to go. Also, there are others on the list who are still very much in need of prayers. Thank you for your continued support. I was reading through some blogs this morning and I'm amazed at the number of blogs which are requesting prayers for this person or that baby. It just makes my heart ache to see so much suffering going on. I know that it is a sign of the times, but that still doesn't make it any easier to deal with. I tell myself that God is in Control, and what is happening is supposed to be according to His written word, but the only reasoning I can come up with is "sign of the times". Even though I know that God is a God of Healing, and that it is not His wish for any of us to be sick, these things are to happen in the latter days. My mind knows this, but my heart does not know how to reason. That is the mind's job. In the spiritual aspect, it means it's getting closer for His Return, but in the natual it's just unfathomable. Just in our church (a fairly small one of about 120-130 members) its not uncommon for 3 or 4 people to be in the hospital at once either having some kind of surgery, or to have fallen and hurt themselves, or something. We always have 8 or 10 prayer request go up for family members, friends or acquaintances who have cancer. I just keep praying. I know God said to pray without ceasing, but I didn't know this is what He had in mind. I figured it meant all kinds of prayer. Praise, petitions of need, health, you know, a variety of reasons. As it is, I catch myself continually praying for the sick or the families of those who have passed. That's ok though. I know that my prayers are not going up in vain, and that His Word will not return void, and He says "by His stripes we are healed". I am holding Him to His Word.
Ok, enough contemplation. Juls, if you're reading this, I hope you are feeling better. I have something for you. Just remember this is meant to lift your spirits, ok? I'm not sure if you had the regular flu, or swine flu, but at any rate, the masks are a nice touch, don't you think? This picture is compliments of a young lady by the name of Angie Smith Waters, who I think is a friend of my pastor's daughter. I thought it was really cute and hope you do too.
I think I broke my record. It is now 11:15 pm, and I've actually run out of things to say. I was so excited to tell y'all about Danny getting better, I forgot the standard schedule. I did go Curves this morning for my work-out, and then turned around and went back tonight for a weight-management meeting. Now, if I could just take hold of what I'm learning at these meetings, I would probably be able to lose more than 3 or 4 pounds at a time. Oh well, I'm not fat, I'm just "fluffy". That saying doesn't have the same effect as the ways it's suppose to go. It's suppose to be , "Ewes not fat, ewes just fluffy". See what I mean? It's cuter that way.
Good night All and May God Bless!
PJ

Ha ha! That's great! Hannah and I have the swine flu--so that's so appropriate. That picture is super cute, and greatly hilarious. :) I will show Hannah Grace, she'll get a kick out of it!

Lifting my spirits-definitely achieved. Hope your weekend is blessed.
