Vacation and The Planted Seed

Good Evening to All!

Well Folks, As you know, back in September when I first started blogging, I mentioned that we would be going to Branson Missouri on a week's vacation. September came and went, my husband decided to wait. He said he wanted to wait until October so that we would have more money. Ok, I agreed. October came, and he had talked about going figured out what day and so forth. Then one night when he was watching tv, the RFD channel had an advertisement about Branson having and RFD Reunion of a lot of the old country and western stars like Bill Anderson, Lynn Anderson, not old age-wise) just not the "newer country and western". Anyway, he came in and said to me, " Honey, you know what I just heard..... Blah, Blah, and naturally, even though I don't care for that kind of music, I like some of the newer country and western, but mostly easy listening (Andy Williams) and Christian gospel and praise. Anyway, I said yes, we can wait. It is now November and he has actually made the reservations for our hotel stays and tickets. FINALLY!!!!! I'm just ready to go somewhere. His next jaunt he's planning (IF we have the money saved up, barring any RFD reunions, or whatever else can come up, is Bahamas in February, I am not going to hold my breath though. We Shall See. Anyway, we will be heading to Branson on the 17th of this month for 6 days. Yea!

Father in Heaven, I ask that you touch the hearts of each and every person who reads this post tonight, and open their understanding to what you are saying in these verses and in the Bible Seed to come. Each time I type Your Words, I pray that a seed gets planted and takes root in their hearts, whether it is for knowledge or encouragement, or even just ministering to someone. Let me be your instrument O God. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.
Daily Inspiration of the NIV

The entire law is summed up in a single command: "Love your neighbor as yourself." Galatians 5:14

"If you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. first go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift. Matthew 5:23-24

Look for a Miracle

"Joshua told the people, 'Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.'" Joshua 3:5

God's great love is shown in the tings he does for us. He provides everything that we need everyday. But most of us haven't experienced all the blessings that God has in store for us. God wants to do amazing things for us just as he did for the Israelites long ago.

Joshua gave the people of Israel a wake-up call. He warned them to get consecrated because they were about to face a major crisis when they came to the Jordan River. Since there were no boats or bridges, it would be a test of their faith like nothing before. They had heard their parents' stories about the crossing of the Red Sea. Now they would need a miracle for themselves. When the day arrived for Israel's miracle, the priests carried the Ark into the waters of the river first. As soon as their feet toughed the water, the river dried up. The people followed on dry ground. The Ark represented God. It contained the actual stone tablets of the Ten Commandments and other symbols of God's presence such as Aaron's rod and a jar of manna. When the people followed the Ark, they were following God.

When God goes before us, amazing things happen.

*Item of Interest: The Hebrew word for "consecrate" can be explained by using the words "get serious." To consecrate yourself, let go of all things frivolous and extraneous so that God can go to work.

Weed & Water
To see miracles, we must set the stage inwardly and outwardly by preparation, dedication, and separation. Bible studies and prayer prepare us inwardly. Anticipation of miracles is built on the knowledge of God's Word and a personal relationship with him through prayer. Once the inward preparation is underway, our outward dedication will become evident. When we've spent time with Jesus, it shows. Separation from everything that keeps us from knowing God is the final element needed. Then we are ready to see miracles. And God will not disappoint us. He will do amazing things, wonders beyond our imagination.

Think About It:

1. What might have happened if the Israelites hadn't consecrated themselves before this test of faith?

2. What have you done to set the stage for God to do amazing things in your life?

Prayer Pot:

Lord, open my eyes so that I may see the miracle of ...(insert your request).

* Miracles come after a crisis.

Good Night All, and May God Bless!
