Dedications And Inspirations

Good Evening to All!

I decided I wanted to dedicate this portion of the post to all of the Moms, Mommies to be, and "Wannabe Mommies, or any precious woman who is in the ever important position of "shaping children's lives into responsible adults.

My church gave these little books out titled "especially for Moms by Robert J. Strand on Mother's Day one year, and a friend gave me this one. It is full of stories that will cause women to laugh, think and cry, so I wanted to share a story with you.

Why Mothers Have Gray Hair

The CEO of a Fortune 500 company needed to call one of his management employees about an urgent problem with one of their main computers. He dialed the employee's cell phone number and was greeted with a child's whispered "Hello."
Feeling a bit put out at the inconvenience of having to talk to a youngster, the
boss asked, "Is your Daddy home?"
"Yes," whispered the small voice.
"May I talk with him?", the man asked.
To the surprise of the CEO, the small voice whispered, "No."
Wanting to talk to an adult, the boss asked, "Is your Mommy there?"
"Yes" came the whispered answer.
"May I talk with her?"
"No," came the little voice.
Knowing that it was not likely that a young child would be left home alone, the CEO decided he would just leave a message with the person who should be present watching over this child.
"Is there any one there besides you?" he asked.
"yes," whispered the child, "a policeman."
Wondering what a cop would be doing at his employee's home and now a bit alarmed, the boss asked, "May I speak with the policeman?"
"No, he['s busy," whispered the child.
"busy doing what?" asked the CEO.
"Talking to Daddy and Mommy and the fireman," came another whispered answer.
Growing even more concerned, he heard what sounded like a helicopter through the phone. So he asked, really alarmed, "What is that noise?"
"A hello-copper," answered the whispering voice.
"what is going on there?" asked the boss, more alarmed.
"The search team just landed the hello-copper," came back the awed whisper.
Alarmed, concerned, worried and more than just a little frustrated, the boss asked, "What are they searching for?"
Still whispering, the young voice replied, along with a muffled giggle: "Me!"

What is a Sense of Humor?

"Humor has always been an expression of the freedom of the human spirit. It is an ability to stand outside of life's flow and view the whole scene...the incongruities, the tragedies outside our control, the unexpected."
Dr. Terry L. Paulson

A merry heart does good like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones.
Proverbs 17:22

I hope that none of y'all have been put through anything like that, but I have to admit I did give a little chuckle to the "innocent" little prankster. As much gray hair as I have already acquired with no children, I can imagine that I would more than likely be "white-headed if pranks of this nature were played on me too often if I had children! I admire y'all for your resiliency. LOL!

Now on a more serious note: Here is our Devotional.

Daily Inspiration from the NIV

"Jesus said," Suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Does she not light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.' In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents. Luke 15:8-10

Even though this poor tired woman looks exhausted, I know that if that happened
to her, she would be relieved. I have been there many times as far as losing something and searching high and low for it. After finding it, calling my friend and letting them know it was found.

All I can say about this verse is I am truly glad to know this. The angels must be rejoicing all the time over me, cause I have to "die daily" as Paul did. I can't count the number of times per day that look up and use the thankful and precious words God forgive me, and get down on my knees. Not to mention altar time at church. Can you imagine the "joyous times" they must be having up there if people are seriously repenting all the time?

Well, I have spent way too much time trying to find pictures and down loading them to put in this post. I still have no Zemanta, so I'm searching for pictures manually. It is now 12:30 am and I am fixing to turn into a pumpkin if I don't get my "beauty sleep" (not that it helps beauty-wise, just lightens my mood.) I hope you enjoyed this post, and we will see you tomorrow.

Good Night and May God Bless!

Oh, what a little prankster:) I was so worried while reading. I have lost count of the gray hairs. But I would trade anything for them.

Stopping by from SITS! So glad to find you. Happy Sharefest Saturday!
