The Virtues of Women and Men

Good Evening to All!

Keep in mind that this inspirational story come from a book called "especially for Moms".

WOMEN:
Women have strengths that amaze men. They carry children, they carry hardships, carry burdens, but they also hold happiness, love and joy. They smile when they want to scream. They
sing when they want to cry. They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous. Women wait by the phone for a "safe-at-home-call" from a friend after a snowy drive home. Women have special qualities about them. They volunteer for good causes. They are pink ladies in hospitals, they bring food to shut-ins. they are child care workers, executives, attorneys, stay-at-home-moms, bike babes and your neighbors. They fight for what they believe in. They stand up for injustice. they are in the front row at PTA meetings. The walk and talk the extra mile to get their children in the right schools and for getting their family the right health c

are They stick a love note in their spouse's lunch box. They do without new shoes so their children can have them. They go to the doctor with a frightened friend. They love unconditionally. Women are honest, loyal and forgiving. They are smart, knowing that knowledge is owe. But they still know how to use their softer side to make a point. Women want to be the best for their family, their friends and themselves. They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards. They are happy when they hear about a birth or a new marriage. Their hearts break when a friend dies. They have sorrow at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left. Women drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you. The heart of a woman is what makes the world spin! Women do more than just five birth. They bring joy and hope. They give compassion and ideals. They give moral support to their family and friends. They make sure the family is part of a good church. They give encouragement to discouraged family and friends. AND all they want back is a hug, a smile and for you to do the same to people you come in contact with. YES!

Ok, let me interject a little bit here. I strangely get some funny pictures in my mind's eye when reading the first few sentences. First off I can see seriously carrying children, and hardships, but the first picture that pops into my mind when we come to carrying burdens, is a "mule" no, not for the reason you think. I talking about being stubborn. Mules are known as "beasts of burdens", and they are stubborn. We have to stand our ground and learn to say no, or enough. I'm definitely not saying don't help, I'm saying know your limits, cause no one else does, and they will push until you feel like screaming. That's why whenever I start being a pest, I would prefer people tell me.
There's no quicker way to get someone upset or frustrated with you than to not know when to hush. Unfortunately, I'm one of those people. I guess I'm what you would call co-dependent. I depend on others too much. I'm afraid of failing or messing things up, so I holler for help. There are several people out there who know what I am talking about. They have been a true blessing to me. I hope that they will tell me "enough" before they get to the frustrated or disgusted point.

On a lighter note speaking of being nervous, now this girl has been married three different times, so you would think I would be an "old hand" at this wedding thing, right? WRONG!!!! This last time, I did fine until I walked down the isle tears of happiness streaming down my face, reaching the preacher, gazing into my beloved's eyes, and started giggling, loud. I was sooooo nervous, and I couldn't stop. My future husband looked at me like I had truly lost it. I'm surprised he didn't turn and run. I always tell my husband the third time's the charm or 3 strikes and I'm out, but I am NOT EVER getting married again. No matter what happens. I would not go through another wedding like the last one. Of course, that was 23 years ago this past July 4th. My giggle box has definitely been turned down some.

MEN:

Well...that's for another chapter and book. But in the meantime, men are good at lifting heavy stuff and killing bugs.
Inner Peace Attained

"To attain inner peace you must actually give your life, not just your possessions. When you at last give your life...bringing into alignment your beliefs and the way you live...then, and only then can you begin to find inner peace."

Peace Pilgrim

"Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all.
Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,
But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.
Give her of the fruit of her hands,
And let her own works praise her in the gates."

Proverbs 31:29-31
