A bit of Knowledge and a bit of Praise

I post these Bible Challenges for several reasons. For one thing, I always enjoy either learning new things, or recalling things which I may have forgotten over the years. I like involving others in my quest as well. There is no such thing as knowing too much, especially when it concerns a person's Salvation or their eternal soul, not that these Bible Challenges will determine the soul's fate. I just feel that the more a person learns about God's Word, the more they will want to learn. When in turn they will realize what they need to accomplish or do to be eternally saved. Not only that I think these Challenges make learning fun, and it shows how much we really care about our soul by putting in the effort and taking the time to look up the actual scriptures and maybe even read a couple of verses above and below to get hold of the context in which it is written. This being said, here are the answers to last night's Challenge "The Holy Spirit":

1. b) Pharaoh (Genesis 41:38)
2. b) Samson (eg., Judges 14:19, 15:14-15)
3. c) fire (Matthew 2:11)
4. a) Jesus (John 14:26)
5. d) that of a rushing mighty wind )Acts 2:1-4)
6. d) Simon of Samaria (Acts 8:5-14)
7. b) Asia and Bithynia (Acts 16:6-7)
8. love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control (Galatians 5:22)
9. b) the seal of His promise (Ephesians 1:13)
10. d) John/Revelation (Revelation 1:10-11)

I finally gave up today and went to the doctor. I have had a horrible sore throat for a week now. I gargled hot salt water, sucked on Hall's Lozenges, and took Sudafed, none of which helped. I've been fighting going to the doctor because under normal circumstances, I say doctor myself. Well, hubby decided it was time for me to go to the pros. He had an uncle many years back who had a sore throat and I took him to the doctor and she said it was a "sinus infection" gave him medicine and sent him home, a week later, I took him back to her because he was no better. She took a throat culture and it came back negative for Strep, so she finally conceded and sent him to a specialists. We had wasted 3 weeks "playing guessing games". After going to the specialist, we found out he had throat cancer. He passed away about 6 months later. He was my husband's favorite uncle. Needless to say, my hubby gets nervous about sore throats that last any length of time.

My doctor gave me a shot and some antibiotics, and 12 hours later I am feeling better. Not completely well, but much better.

The following passage is one of my favorite Psalms.

BLESS the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Who forgiveth all thin iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
he made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
Psalms 103:1-8

Psalm 103 is such a long Psalm, I decided to break it down into three parts, tonight, tomorrow, and Thursday. ( Remember I don't do Wednesday posts).

Good Night To All and May God Bless!

I soooo enjoy reading yours as you innertwine your life and walk with GOD. I try to share my day with otheers and still invlove GOD in it also.. Like you did in an area of yours. I too want to share about HIM and not everyone wants to read it all, so i try to enter verses and notes pertaining to GOD or Jesus here and there throughtout each new post.. But even in doing it that way, many do not like reading anything about GOD... I do it this way as not to be too pushy and maybe then they will return for more.
