Good Evening to All!
He who turns away his ear from hearing the law [of God and man], even his prayer is an abomination, hateful and revolting [to God]. Proverbs 28:9 AMP.

Have you ever compared people who spent their childhood having no rules, or no consequences for anything they might have done wrong with others who had rules to live by, and were disciplined or "suffered consequences for wrong doings?
Being submissive is another word for being obedient, but also agreeable. I realized this when I was going through looking for pictures to complement this post. I searched and search. I finally just typed in "submissive wife" and it showed a wife serving dinner, but it also showed a husband and wife just smiling at each other. To me that says agreeable. Of course most people will smile when the other is doing what they are asked to do.
The people with no rules did not understand the word responsibility. They did not understand that Someone had to "suffer the consequences of the wrong doing. Whether it was paying for damages, jail time, community service, or just swallowing their pride to say they were sorry. If we don't adhere to our employer's rules and regulations we will be fired. if we run stop signs or lights, we will be stopped and given a ticket. We HAVE to follow the rules. If we can't submit to the earthly rules, then we then we will not submit to God's authority either. This is disobedience and will definitely have an adverse effect on our prayer life. When we go to God in prayer, we cannot have sin between us and God. Disobedience is a sin. That is why His Word says if we have anything against our "brother" we must first go and ask forgiveness and forgive, then come back to the "altar" or then come to Him in prayer. He will then hear our prayers and act on them.
Have you ever prayed and then after a while wondered why your prayer had been answered? This could be a reason. Look at it this way. If you want your spouse, or anyone else for that matter to do something, don't you go to them with a nice attitude, or do something nice for them first? I know I have. Well, God is somewhat the same way. If you think logically, not that God is logical because He isn't. Anyway, the more we obey Him, and do what He wants us to do , the quicker He will be to answer our prayers. I'm not saying that it will be the answer you want it to be, just that He won't keep you wondering. We must abide by His words to have a successful prayer life.
Joyce Meyer used this example in her book Hearing from GOD Each Morning: (2)You might want a pay raise or a promotion at work, yet you regularly gossip and say critical things about your boss. This is a form of rebellion and it can hinder your progress.
If you will develop a submissive attitude, you will see more answer to your prayers com to pass and hear God's voice more clearly in your heart.
I like what Joyce said: (1) "Everything you are asked to do in life may not be fair, but in the end, God always brings justice".

I have found that additude is a HUGE part of our Christian walk-having a submissive one will bless your life in many, many ways. Not only in our Christian walk, but also in every day life-it doesn't always have to be "my" way. I will help my relationships tremendously if I am submissive-to my husband, my boss, my leaders.
