Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double-minded. (James 4:8)

*************************************************************

Why is it so many people don't understand this verse? They seem to think that they can "put God up on a shelf somewhere, and bring Him down when they need something. I know that God is not logical, He is spiritual, but logically, I can see where this
does not make sense. He gave His life for us, and yet there are people who show Him the dis-service of going out and doing whatever they want, whenever they want and then go to church on Sunday and saying I'm saved and I'm going to heaven. This is NOT logical thinking. He says DRAW NIGH to ME and I WILL DRAW NIGH TO YOU. If we want Him to be close to us, we have to show Him the same respect. This means to Live For Him, Read His Word so that we will know exactly what He expects from us. Assuming only gets us in trouble.

We cannot be double-minded. We can only love one or the other. There is NO MIDDLE GROUND.

Contrary to what some people believe, it is possible to fall from grace. There are passages in the Bible that say so. with the Help of a friend, Steve Finnell at Christian-with-a View, here are a few of the scriptures that back this statement: Revelations 3:4-5, Hebrews 3:12, Mark 13:13, 1 Timothy 41 and 2 Peter 2:20. Now these are just a few. I'm sure there are more. We cannot take God's love, mercy and kindness for granted, without consequences in the long run.

God is SO GOOD. I didn't know what true happiness was until I began an intimate relationship with Him It's more than just reading words in a book. They come to life for me, through prayer, praise, worship and fasting. The closer I get to Him, the stronger I become against Satan and the evil spirits of this world, and yes, they do exist. Anything that takes you AWAY from God is evil. That is what Satan is all about. He wants you to get wrapped up in anything and everything so you will not find time for God. Whether it's work related, school sports, entertainment, or anything else that you would rather do than spending time with God, be it reading His Word, or praying, or just flat talking to Him like a friend. He wants us to do these things so desperately. The more we do it, the closer we become to Him.

We must however realize that growing closer to God is a daily thing. It takes time just like any relationship. The more you do it the closer you become. As Joyce Meyer says, Just like physical exercise, spiritual exercise needs to be done regularly. You 're sure to see the results.

Good Night to All and May God Bless!

So many individuals view Christ's love and grace as being inconvenient.
