The Encouragement of Faith

Good Evening to All!

First, let me say thank you to all my Blog Frog friends who attended my "virtual birthday party" live chat. It was a blast! Also, Thank you to all those who sent me birthday wishes on Facebook!

FAITH

Definition of Faith
(1) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (3) Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Hebrews 11:1, 3 (Italics and boldness is mine).

An Indispensable Element in Religion
But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that His is and that He is a rewarder of them who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6

Essential in Prayer
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. (5) But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. James 1:5-6

Justification by "faith"
Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 5:1

Faith is like a muscle. The more we exercise and use it, the stronger it gets.

We All were given the same measure of faith. It is How We Exercise it that determines the outcomes of our situations in life.

"A little faith will bring your soul to heaven, but great faith will bring heaven to your soul".

I believe it was Charles Spurgeon who said I have been through enough to know that He'll be enough for me. As Believers, WE HAVE POWER.

Last night, in the absence of our Precious Pastor, another young man officiated our Wednesday night service. He quoted this poem. I don't know if he wrote it, or where he got it from, but he gave me permission to share it with y'all.

Doubt sees obstacles, Faith see the way.
Doubt sees the darkest night, Faith sees the day
Doubt dreads to take a step, Faith soars on high,
Doubt questions "who believes?" Faith answers "I".

God's Word says that Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith. ( If we let Him be.)

The reason I said that statement in parentheses is because God gave us free will. If we let our situations and problems become stronger than our faith in God who if we will allow Him can get us through these obstacles, then we are not allowing God to be the Finisher of our Faith. We are saying in a sense that He is not powerful enough to take care of these temporary situations and problems, thus they end up overpowering us.

We must remember to not let doubt become the "finisher of our faith". That could put us in a very dark place. If we let doubt take over, then we would eventually lose hope, which is directly connected to faith.

Good Night to all And May God Bless!
