"THE SOLUTION IS LIFE ON GOD'S TERMS"

Good Evening to All!

God knew what He was doing from the very beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love Him along the same lines as the life of His Son. The Son stands first in the line of humanity He restored. We see the original and intended shape of our lives there in Him. After God made that decision of what His children should be like, He followed it up by calling people by name. After He called them by name, he set them on a solid basis with Himself. And then, after getting them established, He stayed with them to the end , gloriously completing what He had begun.

So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn't hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing Himself to the worst by sending His own Son, is there anything else He would gladly and freely do for us? And, who would dare tangle with God by messing with one of God's chosen? Who would dare even to point a finger? The One who died for us--who was raised to life for us! --is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us.
(Romans 8:29-34 The Message Bible)

This passage opens up a whole new can of worms for me. I know this passage above. I have read and was taught this even when I was a child in Sunday School. I have seen what God can do first hand. I know how awesome He is, yet I still have trouble wrapping my "brain" around it. It truly amazes me that even after He was spat on, ridiculed, threatened, mocked, tortured and crucified, He can still love this part of His creation. I'm sorry, but I think I would have washed my hands of us all. He did it once through the flood. and gave us a second chance. We turned around and did even worse things to Him.

I'm sorry this is going to be such a short post, but I am extremely tired tonight and can barely hold my eyes open, so I better get to bed. I will try and make up for it tomorrow.

Good Night to All and May God Bless!

It is hard to wrap our brains around it!

I am so thankful there is a GOD and that GOD sent his only begotten Son to die for our sins.
Have a wonderful weekend!

PJ,

It is truly amazing to have a God who loves us so much and understands our humanness, our weaknesses, our flaws ...and sent Jesus to take on the sins of the whole world, so we have a chance at an eternity with Him. What a mighty God we serve!

Have a blessed weekend!

This post today PJ sums up more or less the thoughts I had one day this week.

I was just sitting contemplating the awesomeness of God and my thoughts rested on the same subject of If God is for us, who can be against us!!

Thank you for putting my thoughts into words.

Blessings to you, Carole
