"RENEWING YOUR MIND - A CLOSER WALK WITH THEE"

Good Evening to All!

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:2 NKJV)

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. (2 cor. 6:17 KJV)

I would much rather be a blue marble in a sea of red and know where my eternity lies.

Have you ever thought about that verse? I mean deeply thought about that verse. At first glance, it may sound easy. Just don't act like the "world" does, such as partying, getting drunk or using drugs. Don't dress like you don't have a modest bone in your body or curse like a sailor. Easy, right?

Not without the help of God it's not. Have you ever tried to quit smoking? I have. Many, many times. I finally was able to quit with God's help. He had to talk to me. He had to renew my thinking. Your mind is a powerful thing. If you don't set your mind on living right, and doing what you KNOW God wants you to do, it's not going to happen, no matter how hard you try.

I could sit here all night and say I want to change my ways, but until I surrender my will to God and let Him rule my thoughts, I will never change for the better.

The Lord says we shouldn't take on the "world's way of doing things. If you're not sure what is right according to God, look it up in the Bible. If what you want to do does not "line up" with the Word of God, then DON'T DO IT. It's that simple.

I've heard more than once that it's hard to live for God because you can't do this, or you can't have that. The thing is, when you start living for Him and developing a relationship with Him you won't want those things you wanted before. Your will and His will will coincide. You will realize that doing what He wants you to do makes you happy.

The answers to last night's Bible Challenge are as follows:

1. unleavened (Exodus 12:15)
2. True ( Exodus 22:25)
3. d) as the place for the Israelites to confer with God (Exodus 33:7)
4. True (Leviticus 19:28)
5. c) it was placed in the Ark of the Covenant (Hebrews 9:3-4)
6. d) Og ( Deuteronomy 3:11)
7. False--he bet clothing (Judges 14:10-18)
8. b) looking for his father's donkeys (1 Samuel 9:1-3)
9. Jonathan (1 Samuel 18:1)
10. Absalom (2 Samuel 14:25-26)

I hope you did well, and Learned or remembered even more than you expected

Good Night to All and May God Bless!

I loved this post. You can do anything through Christ. He will send His Holy spirit to help you begin, stop or continue what you need to do. It is that simple. Thank you, PJ!
