"ARE YOU WASHED IN THE BLOOD?"

Good Evening to All!

Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing power?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Are you fully trusting in His grace this hour?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Not according to the new Bible Per-Versions!

Not according to the New International Version (NIV), New American Standard Version (NASV), New Living Bible, New Revised Standard Versions (NRSV), Revised Standard Version (RSV), The Living Bible (TLB), Todays English Version, Contemporary English Version (CEV), International Standard Version: (ISV) and the other Per-Versions!

I got this from Dial-the-Truth Ministries Website written by Terry Watkins.

I was originally looking searching the Internet for the denomination or church that decided that singing about the "BLOOD" of Jesus was too gory, so they tore out all the songs that referenced the blood from their hymnals.

I found the above website instead, and couldn't resist talking about it.

Folks, this right here shows me that this world is definitely (please excuse my graphic language) going to "hell" in a handbasket. (Don't ask me what a handbasket is, my mom used to use that phrase all the time. I mean, you would think that people who publish the Holy Bible would understand how important the reference to Christ's blood is to God's Word, and the main focus of it. Without the blood there can be NO SALVATION. That was God's purpose for coming to Earth as a human in the first place, to shed blood so that we would have a sacrifice for the remission of our sins.

Now, under the guise of Easier to Understand or Contemporary English, Satan is getting what he wants. All of these newer "more modern" versions do not use the word "washed" which to me takes away from the meaning of baptism. Thereby adding to Satan's fuel, because being baptized of water and of Spirit is a necessity of Salvation according to John 3:5,
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

These contemporary versions remind me of a lot of churches today. They have a watered-down
doctrine. They don't want to preach Heaven or Hell issues because it might offend people, well if that's the case, they need to be offended. Churches should not be in business to make a profit, they are there to guide people to Salvation and help them on the path to heaven. If people are not told the "nuts and bolts" the bad with the good, then it is possible for them to be lost. I don't care if a church as 1500 members in its congregation, if the COMPLETE truth is not preached and people don't learn about what can keep them out of heaven, then that church might as well be a dry cleaner or a grocery store for the good it is doing.

I am so thankful that my Pastor tells it like it is. Yes, sometimes it feels like he is stepping on my toes and preaching to me, but really he is just preaching what God wants us to hear. If I feel a twinge, it is because I needed to hear that message and need to adjust my thinking or way of doing things.

It kind of reminds me of a Junior High drop out thinking they could graduate college with no studying or preparation. I'm not saying that a school dropout can't make it in college, but it would definitely take work, and studying the RIGHT books. If the Bible doesn't explain how we were "freed" from our sins (NIV) then how will the reader understand just how it happened? God shed His Blood and our sins were covered or washed by the blood, and I think that deserves mentioning.

These other versions are ok for studying, but always back them up with the King James Version

I found a website that spoke about a major denominational church that deleted the "blood" from their hymnals. It didn't mention the name of course but the website is "A Relic From the Past"if you would like to check it out.

I know this is a bit different than my normal posts but when I ran across it, I just had to tell you about it.

Good Night to All and May God Bless!

PJ,

The issue of the modern translations has been around for many years. When I was in Bible college we would have debates about the benefits compared to the hindrances of them.

Over the years, I only use the KJV NKJV and ESV. For my studies, they seem to be the most accurate of all the versions.

Lord bless.
